Runt is not nerdy but is quite the silly and lovable Kindhearted Simpleton.Pinky is a complete and utter goofball and it just makes him look all the more lovable, because he's sweetly naive.Wakko is an adorable, precious Cloudcuckoolander, through and through.
Even if he had been forced to go to foster care anyway, he could have done it on his terms and asked to keep visiting Aunt Slappy. This gets foster care on his case, and they take him away from a dangerous situation. Instead, he takes over the chores and lies to everyone that everything is fine at home. Presumably, Skippy would have been less stressed if he had gotten more help after Slappy suffers a breakdown.
